Children are generally admitted to full time education in Surrey at the beginning of the academic year in which they have their fifth birthday.
Once an application form has been recieved and accepted by the school, arrangements will be made for a pre-school visit that will enable both you and your child to meet new teachers and classmates in a relaxed, informal setting. We aim to ensure that the transition from home to school is a happy, positive experience for all concerned, and one that will lay the foundation of a trusting relationship between home and school.
Prospective Reception Parent Tours
If you are considering sending your child to The Grove Primary School to start Reception in September 2020 and would like to make a preliminary visit to the school, we would be delighted to welcome you on any of our Reception visits. An appointment can be made through the school office and takes approximately an hour. You will be taken on a tour of the school by the Head Teacher who will share further information with you and answer any questions you may have.
2020 tour dates to be added in due course - Please contact the school office to book
Prospective in-year application tours
If you are moving into the area and are considering The Grove Primary School for your child we welcome visits from prospective families. We hope you will appreciate that as a large and popular school, enquiries are frequent and we may ask you to join other interested parents on a tour of the school. Please contact Mrs Joanne Cooper, Admin Officer, for further information.
