Lunchtime Arrangements

Dolce are our new caterers, they will provide our children with nutritious and tasty meals. They are aware how picky children can be and that they will only eat meals they love. That means home-cooked food made from seasonal – and sustainable – ingredients, across a range of always-changing menus. It’s a foodology they've been proud to call their own for almost 30 years. Variety is the spice of life! Every three weeks, the menu rotates, helping to keep the flavours diverse and delicious. All meals that are provided by Dolce are NUT FREE. Unfortunately please note there is NO option for Halal on this menu, however there are numerous vegetarian options.

School lunches must be booked in advance using our new booking system, School Grid. This will give parents and children the opportunity to select a meal choice ahead of the day up to 08.55am on the day. Lunches can be booked for the whole week or on an adhoc basis. Lunch accounts are required to be in credit for a lunch to be ordered (unless your child is in Infants).  SchoolGrid enables you to pre-order meals, make card payments, add allergens, change personal details such as email address and password, view menus, recipes and ingredients etc.

Cancelling school lunch

If you wish to cancel a pre-ordered lunch please do so by 08.55 on the day.

Key Stage 2

Meals can be purchased from the school meals service, or the children can bring a packed lunch.

Children who have school meals must be in credit on their account and paid online.

Packed lunches should be sent to school in a clearly marked lunchbox. Drinks must be in an unbreakable flask or carton with a suitable cup or straw to drink from. Please do not send in sweets or fizzy drinks and no cans or glass bottles. Please remember we are a NUT FREE school.

We actively promote the message of eating a good balanced diet through all our food related work in school. We hope that all parents will support this message in the choices provided within packed lunches. Guidance covering our approach to food in school forms part of our induction materials.

Early Years and Key Stage 1

All infants are entitled to a free hot meal through the government Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM).

Free School Meals

Children in years 3-6 may also be entitled to Free School Meals if parents meet the criteria detailed under Targetted Entitlement or Expanded Entitlement (FSM only)
