Music-making at The Grove.
Music is important to us here at The Grove. We are a school that loves to sing! We are also a school of talented musicians. Our Music Maestros play a range of instruments – piano, violin, flute, guitar and French horn. We also have some budding rock musicians in our midst! In normal times, instrumental teachers visit the school to provide lessons. In unusual times, lessons take place on-line and fantastic progress continues to be made. Here are some musical performances from some of our Maestros – from the comfort of their own homes during Lockdown.
Here is a taste of the developing talent we have in our school musical community. If you would like to find out more about instrumental music lessons for your child please email Mrs Young at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Listen to our Lockdown Virtual Choir singing Stronger Together – a school favourite.
In September 2020, our children participated in a school-wide music project to celebrate their return to school. ‘Belong’ is a piece composed especially for the children at The Grove. All class recordings were produced separately, under strict bubble protocols and layered together. The finished result demonstrates that we are still able to achieve great things even when we can’t all be together.
